Dave Waxler MA,LPC
I have worked with families in crisis for over ten years and have over twenty years of experience working with at-risk youth. I earned a Master’s Degree in Counseling from Sam Houston State University in 2010 and have been a Licensed Professional Counselor since 2013.
I have been married for fifteen years and I’m the father of two teenage boys. I enjoy writing, public speaking, strong coffee and good conversation.
I consider it an honor and a privilege to serve you.
It can be difficult to reach out for help, and to trust someone, so I take that responsibility seriously. Since the challenges you face are urgent, we will work efficiently to avoid wasting your time. Counseling works best when it results in a realistic plan of action.
In our sessions we will explore your values, your strengths, and your resources to increase clarity and confidence. My specialty is using innovative techniques to create new ideas and perspectives about your concerns. I am trained in using a collaborative solution-focused approach that is positive and person-centered.
Many of my clients tell me they enjoy how comfortable and fun counseling is for them. My intention is for every conversation to have a meaningful impact on your life.
I look forward to meeting you so we can get started on your goals.
